Subsidence Claims Manager

We are looking for an experienced claims professional with expertise in Subsidence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive Claims Manager, who can take ownership of their own caseload, working closely with our Subsidence Specialists. With their technical guidance and support, you'll be responsible for driving claims forward to completion, managing customers, suppliers, and clients every step of the way.

This role requires experience in Subsidence.

Location
: Remote, with some visits to the office when required.

Salary
: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

What you will be doing:

  • To take ownership of a caseload, responsible for your own portfolio of work.
  • To support the Subsidence Specialist, and act on their instruction in a timely manner and be able to instruct site investigations, CCTV surveys, basic crack and/or level monitoring, arborist reports and specialist subsidence suppliers (training will be provided)
  • To have full understanding and awareness of the caseload to be able to progress claims to achieve mitigation.
  • To have full understanding and awareness of the caseload to be able to progress claim to repair stage.
  • To be able to maintain reserves.
  • To manage the completion of all tasks within service level agreement timescales as specifically set by the client or the company.
  • To be able to handle subsidence specific aspects such as correct application of the ABI agreement (obtaining initial agreement within set timescale and providing updates in set timescales, after training has been provided)

What we need from you:

  • Experience of property claims handling within the subsidence area.
  • Working towards or already completed a recognised qualification within the Chartered Insurance Institute.
  • As an individual, you will have a proven track record of exhibiting a professional and personal approach when dealing with customers.
  • Ability to make decisions, plan and see things through to the end whilst communicating with multiple parties.
  • Must be inquisitive and a problem solver.
  • Great organisational ability with a responsible, honest and positive approach
  • Good IT skills with the ability to use multiple systems (Microsoft, bespoke packages)
  • Complaint Handling skills
