Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fence Erector to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction trades and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment. As a Fence Erector, you will be responsible for installing and repairing fencing structures, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Measure and mark fence lines according to specifications.
- Install various types of fencing, including wooden, vinyl, chain link, and metal.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
- Perform carpentry tasks related to fence installation, including framing and gate construction.
- Conduct masonry work as needed for fence posts or decorative elements.
- Assist with plumbing tasks for any integrated water features or irrigation systems associated with fencing.
- Carry out roofing duties if required for structures like pergolas or shade covers.
- Engage in fabrication processes to create custom fencing solutions tailored to client needs.
- Ensure all installations meet local building codes and regulations while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the construction industry is essential.
- Previous experience in fence installation or similar roles is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
