- You understand and are open to working in a child led approach to Early Years – you can accept that the 'old school' practice of a daily routine is very minimal - we are led by our children's learning and extend and scaffold this in the moment regardless of the time
- You can set up stimulating invitations to play for our children and create a learning environment that is provoking and full of curiosity.
- You understand or a familiar with the unpinning theory behind attachment and the importance of a child's personal, social, and emotional development and well-being being secure.
- You are confident in talking, asking open ended questions, extending, and scaffolding children's learning.
- You have an awareness and understanding of the environmental factors that impact positively or negatively on a child's well-being and development.
- You have experience working with and are accepting of and nurturing towards children who displaying signs of or who are diagnosed with a Special Educational Needs.
- You are competent to safeguard all children in your care by adhering to nurseries policies and procedures.
- You are competent in using computer-based nursery software.
- The Early Years Foundation stage is embedded in your practice and you have a sound knowledge of all elements.
Mandatory Requirements
- You must hold a minimum of a Level 3 childcare qualification.
- You must hold a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain.
- You must be prepared to pay for a current DBS check.
Annual Leave
Annual Leave offer is a fantastic 23 days which EXCLUDES all bank holidays.
