About the role
Balfour Beatty, a leading international infrastructure group, is seeking a Project Administrator to join our Highways team in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting one of our highways projects, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations both for our team and our visitors.
As a Project Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for the project site office, helping to create a welcoming and professional environment.
What you'll be doing
As a Project Administrator you will be:
- Greeting and assisting visitors, clients, and partners in a professional manner
- Managing the reception area and ensuring a positive first impression of Balfour Beatty
- Providing administrative support to the project team, including document control, meeting coordination, and record keeping
- Handling incoming calls, correspondence, and enquiries efficiently
- Supporting compliance with health, safety, and site security procedures
- Assisting with general office management and day-to-day administrative tasks.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Previous administration or receptionist experience, preferably in a construction or infrastructure environment
- Good IT skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A positive, professional attitude and a willingness to support the wider team
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and work with accuracy and attention to detail.
