London, Greater London, United Kingdom Resi Full time

Resi is the UK's number one home extension company transforming how homeowners design, plan and build. With over 10,000 projects nationwide and a 95% planning approval rate, we make architecture accessible and transparent through a digital platform that brings design, planning and build support together.

We are hiring for a technically strong, Revit-proficient designer to join our team in Oval on a full-time permanent basis as a Senior Building Regulations Designer.

Are you fed up with feeling like you don't have the right support to take your career to the next level? Or you don't get to see enough projects, and spend more time doing admin than advising clients? Do you agree that technology can be utilised to help you and your clients to achieve the best results for their home? Do you want to be at the forefront of new construction methods, like SIPs, or ensuring your customer's homes are the healthiest they can possibly be by specifying Retrofit measures?

Then this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities Of Our Senior Building Regulations Designers

  • Producing high quality technical drawing packages
  • Quality checking and ensuring the compliance of Building Regulations packages
  • Be proactive and informative in your responses to clients, consultants and contractors
  • Working to deadlines and consistently hitting targets in order to suit the goals of the business
  • Living the Resi values, and holding others accountable to them (Drive It, Do More with Less and Deliver with Love)
  • Training and guiding junior members of the building regulations team in what excellent technical design looks like
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure success - this involves proposing new ideas, offering technical advice and being at the forefront of industry trends
  • Handling objections in a patient, confident and professional manner

About You
We know that every designer brings something different to the table, but to have the best chance of success in this role, we think you need to have:

  • Excellent technical knowledge in private residential architectural design - especially in home extensions and renovations
  • Revit proficiency - minimum one year of in practice experience, using on live projects
  • A clear grasp and in-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations
  • The ability to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • People management experience - specifically of junior designers / technologists
  • The ability to thrive in a high performing and high pressure environment
  • A positive attitude and mindset
  • Demonstrable experience of high performance
  • A high level of maturity
  • A real willingness to learn, adapt and provide solutions

You might be even more of a technical fit if you have:
