Senior Planner
to strengthen our
Power Distribution team
, supporting major works for
SSEN
and other tier-one clients.

This is a key opportunity to work on high-profile
distribution, substation, cabling, and civil engineering projects
— and to play a pivotal role in driving the success of OCU's growing energy portfolio.

What You'll Do
As a Senior Planner, you'll take ownership of programme management and planning strategy, ensuring delivery excellence across a series of complex, NEC Option A–based projects.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Developing, maintaining, and optimising detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 (non-negotiable).
  • Building programmes from first principles across electrical, cabling, and civil scopes.
  • Monitoring progress against baselines, identifying risks, and preparing delay and early warning reports.
  • Integrating subcontractor and supplier programmes into master schedules.
  • Leading planning reviews, stakeholder sessions, and risk workshops.
  • Supporting commercial teams with strategic planning insights and schedule impact analysis.
  • Providing mentoring and guidance to junior planners, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record as a Senior Planner on major infrastructure or energy distribution projects.
  • Strong background in cabling, substations, and civil engineering.
  • Experience within tier-one contractors or major utilities.
  • Excellent understanding of NEC Option A contracts.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 skills (essential).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to support and guide others.
