Bank Radiology Assistant | Competitive Hourly Rate | Flexible Working | Slough

Spire Thames Valley are looking for an experienced Radiology Assistant to join the Bank Team

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Undertake routine tasks related to individual's health and well being.
  2. Assess the health and well being needs of people whose needs are relatively stable and consistent. 
  3. Establish and maintain communication with people on routine care matters.
  4. Monitor and maintain health and safety and security for self and others.
  5. Contribute to the implementation of services.
  6. Collect, collate and report routine and simple data and information 
  7. Assist in the application of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment. 
  8. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
  9. Assisting in maintaining agreed stock levels of consumable items
  10. Preparing and assisting with general and specialised procedures including biopsies
  11. Ensuring a clean and hygienic working environment
  12. Preparing patients for treatment
  13. Being involved in the manual handling of patients
  14. Recognising equipment faults and reporting these immediately
  15. Undertaking basic maintenance of equipment

Who we're looking for

  • Experience in an identical role is essential
  • A willingness to participate in a flexible rota for evening and weekend duties, plus on-call from home.
  • Strong communication skills and a good standard of IT skills.
  • A caring nature with the ability to see each patient as an individual, and to carry out the role with understanding and empathy.
  • A positive and flexible attitude
