Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the supervision and care of children in accordance with nursery policies and procedures
  • Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children at all times
  • Engage with children through play, conversation, and educational activities to encourage their curiosity and development
  • Support the team with daily routines such as meal times, nappy changing, and outdoor play
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues, parents, and guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing
  • Participate in ongoing training programmes to develop knowledge of early childhood education and childcare best practices
  • Assist in managing nursery resources efficiently and responsibly

Qualifications

  • Experience with children or in childcare settings is desirable but not essential; a genuine interest in early childhood education is required
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with management and leadership qualities
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or attending external activities
  • Previous nursery experience or qualifications related to early childhood education will be considered an asset
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and professional growth within the childcare sector

Pay: £19,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
