Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, coupled with excellent leadership and team management abilities. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality while creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Plan and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences, ensuring creativity and variety.
  • Manage food preparation processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary while minimising waste.
  • Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor food presentation and quality before serving to ensure consistency with restaurant standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests alike.
