  • Ensuring delivery is in line with the wider product and business strategies.

  • Delving into the data and related processes to understand opportunities for delivering value.

  • Collaborating with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists to find the right data solution that aligns with the business priorities and strategic aims.

  • Prioritising and managing sprint backlogs through collaboration with the team, ensuring that user stories and tasks are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.

Examples of projects / work this role would be involved in:

  • Bringing data from other systems into our data warehouse, providing requirements on data that needs to be stored for reporting purposes, and mapping it correctly into the layers of the data warehouse.

  • Investigating issues with data quality by interrogating and analysing the data.

  • Gathering requirements for tooling for Data Analysts, such as data transformation tooling, facilitate the implementation and provide training and examples of best practice.

  • Requirements for new initiatives such as the implementation and data modelling for a new dimensionally modelled multi-layered data warehouse

Who are you:

  • Experience in projects concerned with implementing data payload ingestion, pipelines and transformations, from discovery to implementation and support.

  • An interest in data and how it can be leveraged to deliver business value.

  • Data skills and knowledge, including strong SQL skills, experience of working with complex data sets, and knowledge of data mapping and modelling.

  • Experience checking data quality and creating test plans for data sets.

  • A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

  • You will be able to articulate the commercial value of an idea to communicate the value of the work we do.

  • Knowledge of the UK Personal Lines Insurance industry would be helpful, but what is more important are the skills to analyse, question, collaborate and communicate
