Veterinary Receptionist

We are an independent, non-corporate family run small animal veterinary practice and we are looking for a new member of support staff to join our team.

Our small friendly team is a busy one and every member of that team has a key role in delivering a high standard of care for our patients and the humans they bring with them. The role is mostly Receptionist but does also include some Animal Care Assistant tasks. The day to day duties involve helping clients, answering the phone, taking payments, answering emails, receiving orders, managing stock and helping to keep the clinic clean and tidy. The role occasionally involves assisting the vets and nurses and looking after hospitalised animals.

It is a full time role and would be about 35 hours a week including every other Saturday morning. There is a regular day off during the week and shifts on the other weekdays mostly finish at 7pm.

We are a friendly supportive team and the only pre-requisites for this role are a love of animals (and their owners), a willingness to learn and a big smile. However some experience in veterinary practice and familiarity with computers and customer service is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £10.00-£12.71 per hour
