Network Planner
within our Delivery team, you'll play a crucial role in the design and development of our fibre network, shaping projects that range from small rural hamlets to large market towns.
Working closely with our Build, Engineering and Delivery teams, you'll be responsible for producing full fibre designs using Point-to-Point and XGSPON technology, providing all pre-construction information, and ensuring the accuracy of as-built data post-construction.

What you'll be doing:
- Project-manage, plan and design P2P and XGSPON networks using a variety of build methods (BT/OR PIA, rural plough, directional drilling, hard trench etc.)
- Conduct detailed fibre mapping and produce PON area network plans
- Create accurate Cabinet-to-Customer designs including cable sizes, node locations, installation methods, and labelling standards
- Produce Straight Line Diagrams (SLDs), splice matrixes, and validate designs before construction
- Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and third parties to deliver project milestones
- Manage design change requests and update records during build
- Accept as-built data, update network maps, and maintain accurate UPRN records
- Generate project reports (asset lists, meterage, etc.)
- Use GIS software (Vetro/Render and QGIS) to produce and maintain network maps
What we're looking for:
- Strong knowledge of XGSPON and point-to-point fibre architecture
- Experience with CAD or GIS software
- Telecoms FTTP planning and design experience (advantageous)
- Understanding of both urban and rural build methods
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
