An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our very busy distribution centre based in Dartford.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our dynamic warehouse team.
About Us
Fresh Service is a well-established storage and distribution centre specialising in fresh produce, with particular expertise in delivering to UK wholesale markets.
We are an independent, family-owned company employing around 180 dedicated staff across two distribution centres in Kent.
Previous experience working within a fast-paced, chilled fresh produce warehouse would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Put away pallets in designated locations and record movements using handheld scanner equipment and the WMS system
- Ensure all pallets are located correctly and safely
- Notify the Team Leader of any changes to expected loads
- Break down pallets as required to meet customer delivery specifications, including box end labelling as instructed
- Scan all pallets through the various WMS functions from receipt to despatch
- Load vehicles in accordance with the manifest and load plan
- Ensure all products are accurately scanned and recorded
- Maintain warehouse hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Uphold high standards of Health & Safety at all times
Requirements
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet trucks
- Good organisational skills
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Strong team player
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Owing to our location, own transport is required
Working hours:
· Full time basic 45 hours per week, any 5 out of 7 (flexibility required) plus overtime
· Shifts 1pm to 10pm
· Salary: £12.50 p/h overtime £16.63 p/h
