The combined university is one of the largest suppliers of the health workforce in the capital, as well as one of the largest higher education destinations for London students.
Combining a breadth of disciplines across health, business, law, creativity, communications, science and technology, we are creating a 'health powerhouse' for students, researchers, the NHS and partners in uniting a world-leading specialist health university. We are now one of the UK's largest health educators, where staff and students have access to an expanded team of brilliant academic and professional services colleagues, combined resources and facilities and more interdisciplinary opportunities.
The merger creates opportunities to generate significant change in the world of healthcare including changes to treatment, population health monitoring, workforce development and leadership, policy, and advocacy.
BackgroundCity St George's is undertaking a significant piece of work in relation to its student systems. It currently operates two on-premise instances of SITS, provided by Tribal. An initial discovery phase will be undertaken to inform the development of a programme roadmap.
The programme is one of the university's "IT Big 6" due to its strategic nature and profile. It is expected to deliver outcomes across staff and student user bases, as well as from data, resiliency and infrastructure standpoints.
ResponsibilitiesThe Student Records Technical Lead participates in the SRS Programme discovery phase, undertaking both project management and technical SITS tasks to support project planning, implement technical changes, and contribute to the strategic roadmap for the Student Records System.
This role is responsible for delivering projects that update the SITS academic model, review the current SITS implementation, identify potential improvements, and assess alternatives. The post holder provides guidance on the implications of proposed changes and offers subject matter expertise during discovery activities to help define the future direction of Student Record Systems.
Person SpecificationThe role requires extensive experience in analysing business requirements and converting them into technical changes for Student Records and Academic Models, preferably with Tribal SITS: Vision. Candidates should have a background in student records system development or implementation, along with expertise in creating roadmaps and strategies for SRS services. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and proficiency in producing documentation and project plans are essential. Experience working on major programmes and contributing to milestone achievement is also required.
Additional InformationClosing date for application: 09 November 2025 at 11:59pm.
Interview are scheduled W/C 27 and 28 November 2025
The selection process will involve an interview and an assessment/exercise/presentation. Further details will be confirmed at the interview stage.
City St George's offers a sector-leading salary, pension scheme and benefits including a comprehensive package of staff training and development.
City St George's, University of London is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all its activities, processes, and culture for our whole community, including staff, students and visitors.

Where a hybrid working arrangement can be accommodated, it is expected that colleagues will spend the majority (at least 60%) of their usual working time on campus each week. Specific details will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate. A hybrid working arrangement will not detract from any comprehensive induction, that will include relevant on-site activities.
Regardless of where colleagues are working, City St George's, University of London's premises will be their primary and contractual place of work.
