As a Technical Delivery Manager, you'll play a central role in ensuring project success, client satisfaction, and team performance.
What you will do

- Provide technical and delivery guidance to ensure best practices and professional growth across the team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
- Manage expectations, risks, and dependencies, ensuring transparency and proactive problem-solving.
- Plan and deliver multiple software and data projects using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Track project performance, prepare reports, and provide analysis to the Head of Operations.
- Support business analysis on larger projects and lead this work on smaller ones.
- Champion Agile principles and delivery excellence across the organisation.
- Conduct retrospectives and identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and team dynamics.
- Drive innovation and encourage learning to keep IJYI at the forefront of modern delivery practices.
- Work as part of a hybrid team; in our Ipswich office a minimum of 2 days (Tue or Wed or Thu) per week.
What you will bring
- Proven experience leading software delivery teams and managing Agile projects from inception to completion.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and modern delivery within cloud environments (Azure experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, proactive attitude and a collaborative mindset that enhances the team's culture and performance.
- Experience working in a bespoke software consultancy or large internal IT organisation is highly desirable.
