We are looking to expand the team and bring on a Payroll Assistant who would be responsible for providing administrative support to the Payroll department.

As a Payroll Assistant you would receive:
Salary – £22,300 - £27000 DOE
Office, hybrid or home working options available

What are your responsibilities for the role?
Payroll Processing
- Process payroll on a weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Produce accurate payroll reports and payslips.
- Process employee salary payments and PAYE payments where necessary.
Data Collection & Exchange
- Securely collect and exchange all relevant payroll information from clients to ensure completeness and data protection.
- Ensure secure transmission of payroll information to clients within timelines that allow for accurate payment processing.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly PAYE liability reports to clients.
Pensions & Compliance
- Process and report workplace pension contributions in line with regulatory requirements.
Client Communication & Support
- Liaise with clients on all payroll-related matters to ensure accuracy of data.
- Respond to client queries in a timely, helpful, and professional manner.
- Feel confident requesting necessary information from clients.
Team Collaboration
- Support the payroll team as needed in daily operations and projects.
- Maintain open communication within the team to ensure consistent workflow and high service levels.
Task Ownership and Accountability
- Take full responsibility for completing all assigned tasks to the required standard by agreed deadlines.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all payroll processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
- Ensure all processes are followed and contribute to a culture of efficiency and accuracy.
- Follow all internal processes including the completion of checklists and the updating of schedules and profiles.
- Complete any training provided by the Company to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Adaptability
- Open to taking on additional responsibilities and projects as needed.
