Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and beverage service, with excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences. This role offers an opportunity to lead by example, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the lively atmosphere of our establishment. The Senior Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, and ensuring guests receive exceptional service throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service, engaging with guests professionally and courteously to enhance their experience.
- Oversee the bar area, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
- Manage stock levels, place orders for supplies, and assist in inventory control to minimise waste.
- Train and mentor junior bartenders and bar staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in cocktails and beverages to recommend options to guests.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper billing procedures are followed.
- Adhere to all licensing laws regarding the sale of alcohol and responsible service practices.
- Assist in organising special events or themed nights to attract new clientele and boost sales.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a bartender within a busy hospitality environment, ideally with restaurant or bar experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to serve guests efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
- Good understanding of basic maths for handling payments and managing stock levels accurately.
- Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.
