Senior Bartender

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and beverage service, with excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences. The Senior Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, and ensuring guests receive exceptional service throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service, engaging with guests professionally and courteously to enhance their experience.
• Oversee the bar area, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
• Manage stock levels, place orders for supplies, and assist in inventory control to minimise waste.
• Train and mentor junior bartenders and bar staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in cocktails and beverages to recommend options to guests.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper billing procedures are followed.
• Adhere to all licensing laws regarding the sale of alcohol and responsible service practices.
• Assist in organising special events or themed nights to attract new clientele and boost sales.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a bartender within a busy hospitality environment, ideally with restaurant or bar experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to serve guests efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
• Good understanding of basic maths for handling payments and managing stock levels accurately.
• Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.

Pay: £12.21-£13.27 per hour
