RESEARCH DIRECTOR – AD EFFECTIVENESS

LONDON – HYBRID (1 DAY PER WEEK IN OFFICE)

SALARY – UP TO £85,000 + BENEFITS

THE ROLE

As Research Director, you will lead the Ad Effectiveness and Media Research practice, overseeing high-impact advertising measurement projects while shaping the agency's research proposition and mentoring a talented team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, delivery, and insight generation for ad effectiveness and media measurement programmes.
  • Guide methodology and ensure insights are actionable, strategic, and commercially relevant.
  • Develop new propositions across areas such as cross-media attribution, emotion tracking, biometrics, and AI-driven sentiment.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 6 (SREs and Research Managers), maintaining high delivery standards.
  • Drive client relationships, proposals, and business development in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Partner closely with the Strategy Director and Head of Marketing Effectiveness to evolve the agency's offering.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven expertise in Ad Effectiveness and Media Measurement across TV, AV, digital, and cross-media.
  • Strong people management experience and leadership of high-performing teams.
  • Agency background preferred; small to mid-sized environment experience ideal.
  • Deep understanding of digital and cross-platform campaign performance.
  • Excellent client-facing and storytelling skills, with experience leading pitches and strategic consultancy.
  • Confident operating both strategically and hands-on in delivery.
