Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated male caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing homes, hospice care, or dementia care, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they care for. This role requires a blend of physical stamina and emotional intelligence to ensure the well-being of clients.

Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation, ensuring that nutritional needs are met.
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities.
- Support clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health plans.
- Engage clients in activities that promote mental and physical stimulation.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
Manage financial duties
Must be a driver
Skills
- Experience in nursing home settings or hospice care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Ability to prepare meals that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- A valid driver's licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for providing care are essential attributes for success in this role.
