Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the development of children in their early years. The Early Years Educator will play a crucial role in fostering children's learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for children, ensuring their well-being at all times.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of care and education provided.
  • Manage classroom behaviour through positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding policies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting materials or participating in outings.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity among children and families.
