Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and grow. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the development of children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring that children are cared for in a safe and supportive environment.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
- Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain a clean and organised nursery space that is conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment.
- Drive initiatives that encourage children's independence and self-esteem.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the nursery.
Experience
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children and parents.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide less experienced staff members when necessary.
- A passion for childcare and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
