About The Role
At Monks, we're building the next generation of data consultancy — one that blends strategic thinking, hands-on implementation, and measurable business impact.

As an Associate Director, Data, you'll lead complex, end-to-end transformation engagements across MarTech, Analytics, and AI Enablement. You'll own the scoping, delivery, and growth of data-driven initiatives that help enterprise clients evolve their marketing and business ecosystems.

This is a leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of consulting, technology, and commercial impact — balancing strategic vision with an execution-first mindset.

Responsibilities
Lead with Ownership

  • Define and shape project scopes — aligning expectations between clients, internal teams, and partners.
  • Take full accountability for the quality and completeness of deliverables, ensuring what leaves our hands is right the first time.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating complex business challenges into actionable data strategies.

Deliver Data Transformation

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams across MarTech, Data Warehousing, Analytics, and AI Enablement to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
  • Drive consulting engagements from assessment and tool selection to implementation and activation, ensuring tangible client outcomes.
  • Oversee optimization and initiatives, linking measurable results directly to business value.

Drive Growth & Client Impact

  • Own client relationships, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and expand scope.
  • Collaborate with partners like Google Cloud and AWS to shape scalable, productized data offerings.
  • Contribute to revenue growth by spotting new opportunities within existing accounts and elevating the commercial maturity of our practice.

Inspire Excellence

  • Mentor and develop consultants, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on AI and digital transformation trends, translating innovation into pragmatic, repeatable solutions.
  • Stay updated on emerging transformation trends and proactively advise clients on new opportunities

About You
The essentials:

  • 6+ years of experience in consulting, digital transformation, or data strategy, ideally in an agency or hybrid consultancy environment.
  • Proven experience leading data initiatives in one or more of the following areas: MarTech implementation, data warehousing, analytics strategy, cloud data platforms, or AI/ML use cases.
  • Strong understanding of tools and ecosystems such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, CDPs, CRM systems, Google Cloud, AWS, and visualization platforms.
  • Strategic yet pragmatic — you connect business outcomes with data execution.
  • Ownership-first attitude: you define the work, lead the delivery, and ensure excellence every step of the way.
  • Commercially savvy — you understand how consulting drives growth and profitability.
  • Collaborative and articulate communicator, comfortable engaging senior clients and multidisciplinary teams.
