Salary: Based on experience + performance bonus structure

Role Overview

The Sales & Marketing Manager will lead the commercial growth of The Swansea Jack — the official Swansea City FC sports bar. This role is responsible for increasing footfall, driving revenue, building local partnerships, and maintaining a strong brand presence both in-venue and online. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, sport culture, and delivering creative campaigns that build customer loyalty and engagement.

Key Responsibilities Marketing & Brand Growth

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns aligned with match days, seasonal events, and key trading periods.
  • Manage The Swansea Jack digital presence including social media, content creation, paid ads, and email marketing.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels including venue signage, promotions, and events.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide monthly reporting on ROI, reach, and growth metrics.

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and secure new local business partnerships, sponsorships, and collaboration opportunities.
  • Drive group bookings, private hire opportunities, hospitality packages, and matchday upgrades.
  • Work closely with internal teams to create new sales strategies, promotions, loyalty schemes, and upsell opportunities.

Community & Club Engagement

  • Build relationships with Swansea City FC, fan groups, supporters' clubs, media partners, and local businesses.
  • Coordinate PR, press releases, and influencer collaborations where relevant.

Events & Activation

  • Lead planning and marketing of themed events including matchday activations, live entertainment, watch parties, sponsorship nights, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Liaise with DJs, hosts, photographers, and suppliers to deliver high-quality experiences.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in hospitality, venue marketing, sports marketing, or similar field.
  • Strong digital marketing skills (Meta, Google Ads, content planning, analytics).
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building ability.
  • Creative mindset with hands-on execution ability — not just strategy.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-led environment including evenings and matchdays.

  • Self-motivated and target-driven.
  • Able to work independently but coordinate well with multiple internal teams.
  • Professional, confident, and comfortable representing the venue publicly.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
