Purpose of Job:
Join our team to drive global chemical compliance through impactful projects and close collaboration with Product Stewardship. You'll manage regulatory systems, streamline processes, and communicate updates across departments. Key responsibilities include reviewing raw material data, managing safety data sheets and labels, and maintaining compliance records in SAP EHS.
We're seeking someone with strong SAP expertise (essential), advanced Excel skills, and solid knowledge of chemical regulations. Project management experience and the ability to troubleshoot regulatory systems and tools are critical for success.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Safety and Compliance
Proactively identify and resolve safety and regulatory issues, ensuring Synthomer remains legally compliant across assigned areas.Support Regulatory Projects
Deliver work packages aligned with product compliance goals, contributing to impactful regulatory initiatives.Data and Insight Generation
Analyse and interpret regulatory data to support decision-making and communicate findings clearly across teams.Build Expertise and Collaboration
Develop specialist knowledge in regulatory topics, build strong internal networks, and become a trusted partner across technical, production, and commercial teams.Manage Regulatory Information
Maintain accurate records in SAP according to our migration to S/4 HANA, review and classify raw materials and products, and ensure safety data sheets and labels meet legal standards.
Process Improvement
Help refine and document efficient regulatory processes, contributing to continuous improvement across the function.
What You'll Bring
- A degree in Chemistry or a related field—or equivalent experience in Regulatory or SHE roles. You'll have at least 2 years in a regulatory environment, with a working knowledge of chemical classification and labelling (GHS) and exposure to SAP EHS. A proactive mindset and attention to detail are key.

Location and Travel requirements:
The position is located in the Harlow (Essex) office, with a minimum requirement of four days per week in the office as part of the hybrid working arrangement.
