The AXA Commercial Portfolio Team are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a key strategic delivery on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. We're investing in technology and data to transform our business and improve the way we manage Commercial Insurance Exposure risk. We're seeking a talented individual to join our team to implement technology changes, drive improvements to data and reporting, and support associated business change.

Our Commercial Strategy, Portfolio and Transformation team is accountable for the efficient and effective delivery of change across our whole business. Programme delivery covers large, strategically significant change and involves interaction across a wide group of Stakeholders. We use agile methods to achieve the best possible outcomes.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage activities involving internal and external stakeholders to implement changes across our application landscape, including integrating new software services and enhancing data and reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with our Underwriting and Exposure Risk Management teams to plan and execute business change initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to oversee workstreams and teams, ensuring transparency through regular updates and progress reports to Programme Boards.
  • Monitor progress against delivery goals, proactively addressing challenges and risks to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate with other programmes, projects, and technical teams to manage dependencies and ensure smooth delivery of changes.
  • Ensure all activities comply with organisational governance standards and control procedures.
  • Identify potential risks early, manage issues effectively, escalate concerns when necessary, and propose practical solutions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in overseeing complex commercial insurance change programmes involving multiple teams.
  • Qualified in Programme or Project Management, such as Agile Project Management (Agile PM), Association for Project Management (APM), or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).
  • Deep understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrable expertise in managing technology-driven change initiatives and integrations.
  • Proficiency in utilising project and programme management tools to plan, monitor, and report on progress.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and third-party management, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
