A national environmental consultancy is seeking an
Asbestos Surveyor
or
Dual-Trained Surveyor/Analyst
to join its Hazardous Materials team. This is a
field-based position
, and applications are particularly welcomed from individuals based in
Manchester/ London / Bristol / Cardiff / Northampton / Birmingham
due to strong regional demand.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting all types of asbestos surveys and inspections, including management, refurbishment, demolition surveys, and assessments of asbestos in the ground
- Performing air monitoring and airborne fibre counting
- Inspecting contractors' remediation works and approving or rejecting removal activities in line with the 4SC process
- Capturing factual and numerical data on a mobile device to produce accurate reports via industry-leading software
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant asbestos legislation and guidance (e.g., HSE, construction regulations)
- Maintaining personal QHSE documentation and following internal assurance procedures
- Providing a professional, responsive service to clients, including answering queries and offering specialist guidance when required
About You
You will ideally have:
- BOHS P402, P403, or P404 qualifications, equivalent RSPH certifications, or a Certificate of Competence
- Working knowledge of
HSG248: The Analysts' Guide
and
HSG264: The Survey Guide - A full UK driving licence (manual)
- Flexibility to travel and undertake out-of-hours work where required
- A strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently or as part of a small team
