This is more than just an admin role – it's a vital part of delivering high-quality adult social care services to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

About the Role:

As a Senior Social Care Administrator, you will play a key role in the coordination and smooth running of essential adult social care services. You'll work under the direction of the Social Care Support Team Leader, supporting multiple teams in a fast-paced and emotionally sensitive environment.

  • Supporting communication and coordination between Local Authority and Local Health Board teams
  • Acting as the first point of contact for urgent enquiries, often in crisis situations
  • Ensuring accurate and timely handling of sensitive information and records
  • Providing essential cover for other Business Support staff (e.g., during annual or sick leave)

This is a highly rewarding role where your work directly enables the delivery of services that promote safety, independence, and wellbeing for adults with complex needs.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a proactive, organised and compassionate individual with:

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and customer care abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence in managing competing priorities and working under pressure
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, aligned with the Council's 'One Team' ethos

Experience in social care, health, or multi-agency working environments is desirable but not essential – training and support will be provided.

What We Offer:
  • A supportive and welcoming team environment
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • The chance to build a rewarding career in public service
  • The opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives every day
