Eden Scott's client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Fund Accountant
to join their Middle Office team in Edinburgh. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment supporting a portfolio of investment funds, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for multiple investment funds.
  • Produce financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, up to trial balance stage.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, investment portfolios, and other key ledger accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Liaise with auditors, fund managers, and other stakeholders to provide financial information and resolve queries.
  • Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and regulatory filings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fund Accountant within financial services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and fund structures.
  • Proficiency in producing accurate reports up to trial balance.
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience with accounting or fund administration systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
