Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianAt ENGIE, we're powering the energy transition, and we need skilled professionals like you to keep our critical infrastructure running smoothly.As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at First Hydro, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our power station equipment, directly contributing to our mission of sustainable energy production.What you will doPerform routine preventative and breakdown maintenance on critical power station plant and equipmentConduct fault diagnosis on complex mechanical systems and provide effective solutionsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities using our works management systemCollaborate with other teams to ensure safe and efficient handover of workAct as a Competent Person under First Hydro Company and National Grid Safety RulesLead working parties of up to 7 staff members on specific maintenance activitiesEnsure all work adheres to quality, health, safety, and environmental policiesWhat you will bring to the roleCompleted a recognized apprenticeship in mechanical engineeringHold City & Guilds Part III, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in a mechanical disciplinePossess an IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalentDemonstrate practical knowledge of mechanical plant and equipment maintenanceHave experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and pressure systemsSkilled in basic rigging and lifting operationsProficient in IT systems for managing computerized work activityStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work at all levelsExperience with workshop machines and welding techniques is advantageousBTEC National Certificate in an engineering discipline is desirableJob Based InThis role requires on-site presence at our power station facilities in Dinorwig, Llanberis.
