We're looking for reliable, friendly Front-of-House & Kitchen Assistants to join the launch team at Jerky Werky's Caribbean Takeaway, located in the heart of Maidstone Town Centre. This role covers customer service, order handling, light cooking (chips, patties, sides), and supporting the chef during busy periods.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Taking customer orders in person, by phone, and via delivery apps
  • Using the till and handling payments
  • Light cooking duties (frying chips, heating patties, portioning sides)
  • Packaging orders neatly and accurately
  • Organising delivery drivers and assigning the correct jobs
  • Keeping the counter stocked, clean, and ready
  • Cleaning and closing down at the end of shifts

What We're Looking For

  • Someone switched on, reliable, and friendly
  • Strong proven experience in takeaway, café, fast food, or front counter work
  • Comfortable talking to customers and answering phones
  • Basic kitchen or fryer experience preferred
  • Able to stay calm and organised during busy periods
  • Must be available for evenings and weekends

Working Hours & Shifts FOA

Your rota will include a mix of day and evening shifts such as:

  • Monday–Wednesday: 12am–6pm, 6pm–10pm
  • Thursday–Friday: 10:00am–5pm, 5pm–12:00am
  • Saturday: 10:30am–5pm & 5pm–12:00am
  • Sunday: 11:00am–5pm & 5pm–10pm

All staff working a shift of more than 6 hours get one 20-minute unpaid break.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly rate: competitive and based on proven experience in front-of-house or takeaway work.
