As an
Operations Associate
within our
Platform Operations
team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our high-quality financial advisers by efficiently administering their clients' accounts on the Fusion platform. Working as part of a close-knit group of teams under tight deadlines and strict service level agreements, you will be responsible for accurately executing multiple processes critical to trade and settlement activities. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with colleagues to deliver a seamless adviser experience, proactively identifying opportunities to drive operational efficiency, and ensuring you consistently meet both quality and regulatory standards. You will thrive in an environment that embraces change, challenges the status quo, and values attention to detail, all while keeping the client's best interests at the heart of every decision.

What you'll do

  • Administer and process trades and settlements efficiently and accurately, maintaining highest standards to eliminate errors or risk events
  • Follow and, where appropriate, challenge procedures to continually improve our ways of working
  • Collaborate with global internal teams and external counterparties to ensure strong working relationships and effective resolution of issues
  • Support and deliver operations within agreed service levels, meeting deadlines and upholding Treating Customers Fairly principles
  • Take ownership of your responsibilities, seeking out information independently and proactively suggesting process improvements
  • Embrace ongoing change within a dynamic, fast-evolving business, adapting positively and helping others to do the same
  • Maintain a client-centric mindset, ensuring you always act in the best interests of our customers

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Strong communicator, confident interacting with both colleagues and external partners; a willing team player who supports others
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to process execution
  • Ability to work in line with established procedures and identify opportunities to improve them
  • Demonstrated ability to develop professional relationships in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven commitment to accuracy and risk avoidance when processing financial transactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Previous platform or financial services experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Actively studying towards relevant industry qualifications (desirable)

The base
You'll be based at the Benchmark Head Office, within our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex but will need to be present across our other offices, including the main Schroders headquarters in London. It has high standards and international reputation, without being in the city: a big, countryside campus means life will feel a little different.

We support our offices by using cutting edge software and hardware and our spacious campus facilities mean there's a great working environment for the team. With an on-site restaurant, coffee shop and gym, our campus has much to offer. And commuters can relax on our dedicated regular shuttle bus to and from Horsham's main line train station.
