About the Role

We are expanding our Installations Team and seeking a proactive, reliable Installation Engineer / Electrician Team Leader. This is a field-based role, working as part of a two-person team, responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing lighting systems at sites nationwide. The role requires frequent travel and overnight stays (Monday–Thursday), returning to base on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain high mast and sports lighting systems across the UK.
  • Lead installations on 240v and 410v systems, including re-wiring site phasing.
  • Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, and lux testing to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and site reports.
  • Champion health and safety on-site, ensuring all work meets company and regulatory standards.
  • Represent Kingfisher Lighting professionally and ensure positive client interactions.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Electrical background.
  • Comfortable working at heights (MEWPs experience desirable).
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home during the working week.
  • Proactive, reliable, and a problem solver.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and a "right-first-time" approach.

Desirable:

  • 18th Edition BS7671.
  • CSCS card, ECS HERS.
  • Experience with sports and high mast lowering systems.
  • Commercial electrical experience.
  • First Aid at Work, IPAF certification.
