Job Summary

The Business Analyst will act as the key interface between business departments and IT, ensuring that business needs are accurately captured, analysed, and translated into actionable business specifications. This role is critical to aligning operational goals with technical solutions, driving efficiency, and enabling continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring that business requirements are captured, validated, and aligned with strategic priorities
  • Producing high-quality business specifications that clearly translate business needs into IT deliverables
  • Maintaining clear communication between business stakeholders and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensuring solutions delivered meet agreed business objectives and quality standards
  • Managing traceability of requirements from initiation through to implementation
  • Supporting organisational change by ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems
  • Promoting best practices in business analysis and contributing to continuous improvement within asmodee UK

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting requirements gathering through workshops, interviews, and documentation reviews
  • Analysing current processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Documenting business processes, data flows, and functional requirements in an accessible and structured manner
  • Translating business requirements into clear business specifications for IT development or configuration
  • Working closely with IT to validate technical feasibility and support solution design
  • Coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring business stakeholders validate that deliverables meet their needs
  • Supporting change management activities and providing guidance to end users during implementation
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation on business processes, system configurations, and project decisions
  • Monitoring post-implementation performance and capturing lessons learned for future projects
  • Assisting in the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies, and project proposals
What are we looking for

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within a distribution, retail, or logistics environment
  • Demonstrable ability to elicit, document, and communicate complex business requirements
  • Experience working cross-functionally to deliver IT-enabled business change
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, or warehouse management systems
  • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies
  • Experience within the tabletop gaming, entertainment, or distribution sector
  • Understanding of data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel)
