They are expanding their engineering team and looking to hire an experience Software Test Automation Engineer that has experience of working on telecoms and secure communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for mission-critical applications
  • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and regression tests
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure test coverage and early defect detection
  • Work with DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Support release management and deployment validation
  • Continuously improve testing processes and tools

Skills/experience Required

  • In-depth experience in software testing and automation – ideally in mission-critical, secure environments, or telecoms
  • Strong experience with test automation tools
  • CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Agile methodologies and testing practices
  • Linux environments and scripting
  • Experience testing public safety or telecommunications systems
  • Knowledge of protocols such as SIP/RTP, P25, TETRA, or MCX
  • Exposure to secure systems and government projects (e.g., Home Office, MOD)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

This is a hybrid role – based in London.

You must be eligible for Security Clearance. If you have SC level already, that would be ideal.
