We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Health and Safety Advisor. You'll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture across our Home Delivery supply chain sites covering South West England and South Wales, working closely with management teams to ensure best practices are followed.

As part of a small, dynamic team, you'll enjoy the freedom to plan your own schedule, with regular site visits and occasional overnight stays. This role offers flexibility, independence, and the support of a collaborative team environment.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the implementation and communication of Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, ensuring full compliance across your sites.
  • Attending monthly site Health and Safety meetings, addressing site-specific issues and sharing updates on improvement plans and initiatives.
  • Overseeing timely investigations of accidents and incidents, ensuring accurate information is captured for root cause analysis and that corrective actions are implemented.
  • Acting as a trusted source of Health and Safety advice, providing guidance and support to managers and teams.
  • Contributing to a robust audit and inspection programme throughout the year.

You will need:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel across sites, with occasional overnight stays.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.

It would be great if you had:

  • Some experience of risk assessments, environmental impact assessments, accident investigation and contractor management.
  • Experience in Health and Safety within Retail, Logistics, or Supply Chain environment.
