About Your Tasks
Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and other hardware and software components.
- Develop and implement strategies for infrastructure capacity planning, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services through proactive monitoring and maintenance practices.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging professional development and continuous learning.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
Security and Compliance
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project managers, to align IT infrastructure initiatives with business objectives.
- Communicate infrastructure status, issues, and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
Project Management
- Lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines, coordinating resources and stakeholders as needed.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Innovation and Improvement
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement and innovation, driving initiatives to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of best practices and new technologies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft) is a plus.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a proven track record of leading and managing infrastructure teams.
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Experience of technologies such as Veeam, SQL, Office 365, VMware would be advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in network and system administration, including experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
