Job Overview

We are seeking for an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Spetisbury Manor.

As the Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and happiness of our residents by planning, organizing, and delivering a wide range of activities and events tailored to their individual interests and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and run daily activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
  • To work with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual social care plan and to evaluate regularly.
  • To be familiar and competent in using risk assessments for outside trips, with assistance from the team
  • • To report any accident or complaint to the manager and record this appropriately.
  • Coordinate themed events, outings, and celebrations, creating a fun and engaging environment.
  • Work closely with residents, their families, and staff to ensure activities meet everyone's needs and preferences.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of activities and adjust programs as required.
  • Encourage resident participation and create opportunities for socializing and personal expression.
  • To undertake statutory and mandatory training to meet the requirements of current legislation and attend appropriate training courses to enhance personal and professional knowledge and skills

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an activities coordinator role or working within a care setting is an advantage.
  • A creative and innovative mindset with a passion for working with the elderly.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with residents, their families, and staff.
  • A warm and approachable manner with a dedication to delivering high-quality care.

Hours: 18 hours a week, 5 days a week, 9.00am - 1.00pm (call for more info). Weekend work is required.

£12.21 per hour
