The
Capital Advisory Associate
will be a key member of our growing finance team. You will support the Head of Capital Advisory in structuring and executing real estate finance transactions across various asset classes, primarily within the residential sector.
This is a hands-on role that combines client interaction, transaction management, deal structuring, and lender engagement. You'll also assist in the preparation of marketing materials and lender packs, manage key elements of the underwriting and presentation process, and be encouraged to grow your own network of borrowers and lenders over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Capital Advisory in arranging debt finance for property transactions across development, bridging, and investment finance.
- Liaise with clients (borrowers) and lenders to understand requirements and create tailored finance solutions.
- Produce detailed lender presentation packs and information memoranda, including writing property descriptions, presenting cashflows, and summarising borrower and asset information.
- Collate all terms received and present them in a clear, concise, and easily comparable format for review and decision-making.
- Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of lenders, including specialist bridging lenders, challenger banks, private funds, and high-street banks.
- Attend face-to-face client and lender meetings.
- Input into financial modelling and analysis, especially at feasibility and cashflow level (not necessarily deep Excel modelling but a high degree of comfort with numbers is required).
- Track live mandates and coordinate all necessary documentation and communication to progress deals through to completion.
- Provide a high level of market insight and commercial intelligence on lender appetite, pricing, and product structures.
- Contribute to the visibility and positioning of the Capital Advisory arm within the wider business.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
- 2+ years' experience in real estate finance, either from a
lending
background (e.g. bank, challenger, or debt fund) or from a
broking
or advisory background. - Solid understanding of UK real estate debt products, terminology, and transaction mechanics.
- Experience working directly with clients on financing needs, ideally including residential-led development and investment property.
- Ability to write credit or summary papers and present deals internally or to lenders.
- Proven track record of managing transactions end-to-end — from initial introduction through to successful completion.
- The ideal candidate will also bring existing client relationships with real estate developers and investors, and the ability to leverage these connections to support business growth.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong commercial awareness and interpersonal skills – confidence in client meetings and building new relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication – ability to write clear and concise reports and proposals.
- Competency with real estate financial modelling – ideally experience in preparing and presenting cashflows and lender-oriented financial materials.
- Attention to detail and organisational capability to manage multiple live transactions.
- An entrepreneurial attitude and a desire to help grow a dynamic and ambitious team.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Candidates holding a CeMAP qualification will be strongly preferred.
- Any other relevant financial or real estate qualifications would be beneficial.
What We Offer
- Exposure to a strong pipeline of live mandates, with transaction sizes typically ranging from £1 million through to £300 million
- A respected platform with over 8 years of successful trading and strong market recognition.
- An NACFB-accredited member firm.
- A collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Exposure to a wide variety of real estate transactions and capital providers.
- Office in the heart of Marylebone.
- Opportunity for career growth and long-term role development.
- Starting salary of £40,000 p.a., with clear scope for bonus and progression.
- An opportunity to join a young growing business with a small team and clear trajectory for expansion.
- Company benefits package (details on request).
