About you

Ideally, you'll have or be working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. with at least 2 years experience as a Senior in the care sector. You will understand person centred care planning and have a strong knowledge of the care industry. What's essential, though, is your brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people and manage a team and have experience with rota management. You'll know what good record keeping looks like and be able to manage your time effectively. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind. Well, after all, it's just in your nature.

Job Overview

As a Shift Leader you will be planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families – helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care. As the shift leader, you will be leading a team of Health Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest of standards and you'll be a positive influence on the rest of the team, and lead by example. As well as administering medication, one of your key responsibilities as Shift Leader is to maintain accurate records of the job you do and build strong relationships with the rest of your team.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Job

  • To lead all care staff on each shift and administer residents medication when required.
  • To maintain a safe and secure environment for Residents, Team Members and vVsitors.
  • Ensure residents are assisted with their day to day personal care.
  • Assisting with meals/drinks to support our residents overall nutrition.
  • Engaging with residents who wish to take part in social and recreational activities.
  • Supporting the Home Manager with jobs as necessary.
  • Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns.
  • Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £15.00 Per Hour

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shifts - 4 out of 7 on a rota.

Licence/Certification:

  • NVQ 2 / 3 Health and Social Care (required)

Required Criteria

  • Candidate must hold NVQ 2/3 Health Social Care
  • Candidate must have at least 1 year experience as a Senior Health Care Assistant
  • Candidate must be eligible work in the United Kingdom
