Conflicts Analyst – 12 Month FTC

London or Birmingham | Hybrid Working

An excellent opportunity to join a leading global law firm as a
Conflicts Analyst
on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a key role within the firm's New Business Conflicts and Compliance team, responsible for reviewing new business intake requests, analysing potential conflicts of interest, and ensuring matters are approved in accordance with firm policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse new business intake requests and conduct preliminary conflict checks
  • Identify, investigate, and help resolve potential conflicts of interest before matter approval
  • Assist lawyers and firm leadership with conflict clearance and documentation processes
  • Support the preparation of engagement letters, client waivers and consents in line with policy
  • Code engagement letters and accurately record actions in the conflicts database
  • Liaise with the Ethics Committee and other stakeholders to secure matter approvals
  • Contribute to training of junior team members and assist with ongoing research projects
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance processes
  • Support special projects and business research initiatives as required

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in conflicts analysis or research within a professional services or legal environment
  • Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office applications
  • Resilient, organised and comfortable working independently or collaboratively
  • Previous law firm experience is desirable
