Funding is available for one Faculty Intern in each of Durham's four faculties in Faculty interns will work with Department interns, in their Faculty, Faculty interns in other Faculties, and with Durham SU, where relevant, to coordinate activities related to decolonisation of the curriculum.Each Faculty Intern will:· within the Faculty:o   Co-Chair the Faculty Working Group on Decolonising the Curriculum where one exists and/or co-coordinate Faculty decolonising activities..o   Work with staff in their Faculty, particularly the Faculty academic lead for the decolonising the curriculum project, to oversee progress in each department, discuss and share good practice on decolonising the curriculum.o   Liaise with, and coordinate, Department interns in order to share good practice and ensure timely completion and reporting of their projects focusing on the curriculum impact of the work.o   Carry out research work relevant to the evaluation of the decolonising in the Faculty, including a final report. Help to plan and deliver Faculty workshops relating to work on decolonising the curriculum to staff and students.· working with other Faculty Interns:o   Attend regular (monthly) meetings with the other Faculty interns and the Faculty (and SU, where relevant) Academic Leads to discuss progress and direction of the work.o   Plan and deliver a student-led event in June 2026 showcasing Decolonising the Curriculum work that spans all Faculties at the end of the academic year.o   Publish a calendar of decolonising events taking place in to ensure staff and students can engage with these.o   Establish a wider student decolonising network so that those who do not have internships can find ways of becoming actively involved in this project.Commitment hours (Max 8 hours per week), across the academic year (flexible, and with reduced duties over the exam period), to include some full days after the May/June exam period.
