Role Purpose
We are seeking a strategic and creative Global Corporate Learning & Development Manager to shape and evolve our global corporate learning offer. This role is responsible for defining the concept, content, and strategic intent of our corporate learning offer, ensuring it helps build the capabilities in our people leaders and enables our high-performance culture. The role will work closely with regional L&D teams, HR and talent partners to identify critical learning needs and translate them into impactful, scalable learning solutions.
Key Accountabilities
•Learning strategy and offer development: Develop our global corporate learning offer, ensuring it addresses current and emerging capability needs. Define the learning concept, content themes and intended outcomes for each solution, ensuring alignment with business strategy and talent priorities.
•Needs analysis: Partner with regional L&D leads, talent and HR teams to gather insights on learning needs and priorities. Facilitate co-creation and feedback loops to ensure solutions are grounded in real world challenges and opportunities.
•Design Oversight: Partner with the IHG University Design team and external vendors to bring learning concepts to life – ensuring clarity on learning objectives target audiences and success measures.
•Offer Packaging: Develop a clear and compelling narrative for our corporate learning offer, ensuring its well packaged and easy to navigate. Oversee the creation of user-friendly materials and channels to promote and distribute the offer globally.
•Continuous improvement: Monitor the effectiveness and uptake of corporate learning solutions globally, using data and feedback to iterate and improve. Stay informed on L&D trend, technologies and innovations to continuously evolve our offer.
Key Skills & Experiences
•Significant experience in learning and development, ideally in a corporate, highly matrixed environment
•Strong strategic thinking and conceptual design skills – able to translate business needs into impactful learning experiences
•Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills across cultures and geographies
•Experience working with instructional designers and/or external vendors to design and deliver learning solutions
•Strong communication and storytelling skills – able to articulate the value and purpose of learning initiatives
•Familiarity with learning technologies and platforms to ensure accessibility and scalability
•Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess learning solutions effectiveness and measure ROI relative to business objectives
•Practical outlook – high standards but has a strong 80/20 mindset and can deliver at pace
•Hunger to continuously learn and understand best practice, latest thinking and build networks externally
•Culturally sensitive and comfortable working virtually with colleagues across the world
