Professional Services Consultant

At Mimecast, we don't just implement solutions - we create lasting impact for our customers. Our Professional Services team sits at the heart of that mission, making sure every deployment runs smoothly, every migration is seamless, and every customer walks away confident in their decision to partner with us.

We're looking for a skilled Professional Services Consultant who thrives on solving problems, building trusted relationships, and making complex projects feel simple. You'll work directly with our customers to bring Mimecast's services to life, while partnering with teams across Support, Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, and Sales to make sure every implementation delivers value.

If you're the kind of person who gets excited by collaboration, loves getting technical, and knows how to keep projects on track- you'll feel right at home here.

What You'll Do

  • Guide customers through implementing Mimecast services and ensure successful deployments
  • Support smooth email archive migrations from legacy solutions
  • Escalate and track issues or feature requests with Support and Product Development
  • Spot opportunities to upsell additional products and services where they'll add value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes

What You'll Bring

  • Strong IT administration skills with Microsoft Exchange (on-prem, Azure, Exchange Online), Google Workspace, or other email systems
  • Advanced knowledge of key technical requirements (SMTP, LDAP(S), Active Directory, SSL Certificates, MX records, journaling, etc.)
  • Familiarity with email archive solutions (e.g., Enterprise Vault) and gateway solutions (e.g., Mimecast, Proofpoint, MessageLabs/Symantec Cloud)
  • Technical expertise in operating systems, desktop deployment, and system administration
  • Experience using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) to create materials and deliverables
  • Exposure to Archive & Email Migration tools and understanding of Exchange migrations
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally Professional Services or consulting
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and strong communication with stakeholders, including at C-level
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, VBScript, C#) a plus

Why Join Mimecast?

Here, you'll have the chance to:

  • Work with cutting-edge technology in cybersecurity and human risk management
  • Build lasting relationships with enterprise customers across industries
  • Collaborate with some of the brightest minds in tech
  • Shape your own career path with growth, learning, and progression opportunities
  • Be part of a culture that's innovative, inclusive, and celebrates success together

At Mimecast, your work doesn't just deliver value to customers - it helps secure the way the world communicates.
