OverviewDedicated to serving those who defend the US and warfighters, Nisga'a MOSTT offers Military Operations support and Specialized Tactical Training (MOSTT). Nisga'a MOSTT's services include aviation and military training, cybersecurity, intelligence gathering and analysis, and simulation and exercise support, as well as aviation flight logistics support and unmanned aerial vehicle support.  Summary:The Medical Instructor will support the Special Operations Center for Medical Integration & Development (SOCMID) under the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering advanced medical training to special operations personnel. The instructor will utilize a variety of instructional methods including classroom lectures, field exercises, and simulation-based training. The position requires expertise in combat medicine, instructional design, and the use of high-fidelity simulation tools. The Medical Instructor will also contribute to curriculum development, assessment creation, and the mentoring of new instructors, ensuring training aligns with operational requirements and national standards.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Assist in the design of learning objectives and assessment instruments to include quizzes, end of course exams, and meaningful interactions.Assist in the creation and design of course content using eLearning authoring tools.Conduct small and large group instruction in a variety of formats to include didactic lecture, field training exercises, and trauma lanes.Conduct and document formative evaluation during each phase of instruction.Utilize all learning management platforms and document sharing technology as dictated by SOCMID.Assist in the teaching of new and affiliate instructors.Prepare students and other instructors to interface with training on new tools (software and hardware).Utilize and assist in the use of training simulation to include low-/high-fidelity mannequins and virtual reality devices during the course of instructional responsibilities.Assist with the development, update, and validation of external organizations' learning objectives and Critical Task List (CTL) to ensure all pertinent tasks are identified to meet training objectives.Assist with the development, update, and validation of Syllabi of Instruction (SOI), including course lesson plans and formative evaluations to achieve required proficiency levels.Must be able to lift >75 pounds and move human patient simulation equipment to and from training areas, work in low-light, high-volume environments, and differing weather conditions simulating actual field, casualty evacuation, or aeromedical evacuation missions.Additional duties may be assigned.QualificationsNecessary Skills and Knowledge:Proficiency in developing learning objectives, lesson plans, and assessmentsDeep understanding of trauma care, casualty evacuation, and aeromedical proceduresSkilled in using low-/high-fidelity mannequins and virtual reality training toolsFamiliarity with eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS)Ability to train others on new medical software and hardware toolsAbility to validate and update syllabi, lesson plans, and critical task listsAbility to teach in dynamic environments including field and simulation settingsMinimum Qualifications:Minimum 1-year operational and combat medic experience in a special operations settingFully qualified with current EMT-Paramedic.Must have the following certifications:Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic EMT-P certified IAW NREMT.Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS-I)Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor (ACLS-I)Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor (PALS-I)Experience conducting both didactic and hands-on training sessionsMust have a Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications:Trained and current in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) through the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) or Defense Health Agency, Joint Trauma System (DHA – JTS).Pay and BenefitsAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
