Event rigger

Trashy Decor is a Liverpool-based event styling company specialising in high-impact, bespoke decor for weddings, corporate clients and major seasonal events across the UK.

We transform venues using unique props, custom backdrops and signature disco ball and lighting installations. We handle everything from concept to seamless delivery and installation.

This is a Liverpool-based role involving extensive travel. It is a freelance position with consistent work and clear potential to grow into a permanent, full-time role.

Responsibilities

We are seeking reliable, practical, and hands-on crew members to support the set-up and de-rig of our installations. The workload includes major seasonal peaks (wedding season and the Christmas period).

Key duties include:

• Driving vans (clean licence essential) and managing loading/unloading at the warehouse and on-site.

• Executing complex setups, including the rigging of disco balls, lighting fixtures and custom decor.

• Must be comfortable and competent operating access equipment, including scissor lifts and executing installations while working safely from height.

• Building timber structures, set dressing and general event infrastructure.

We need proactive team members who can handle the demanding nature of event work with professionalism:

• Physically fit, highly capable and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and comfortable representing the brand client-facing.

• Must be willing and able to work safely from height and operate required machinery.

• Flexible hours, including weekends, especially during peak seasonal work.

• Must hold a full, clean driving licence.

• Prior experience in events, rigging or construction. IPAF/working at height certification is a strong advantage.
