We're looking for a motivated and reliable Transport & Warehouse Operative to join our busy logistics team and help us maintain the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse and transport operations.

Role Overview:

The Transport & Warehouse Operative will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the business, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and on time. This role requires a hands-on, organised individual with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee stock in and out processes — booking in deliveries, checking goods against delivery notes, and maintaining stock integrity.
  • Carry out regular stock counts and assist with stock audits.
  • Manage stock storage and distribution across departments and production areas.
  • Operate a Forklift Truck (FLT) safely and efficiently to load/unload goods and move materials around the warehouse.
  • Coordinate and dispatch goods using overnight and dedicated couriers, ensuring all paperwork and labelling are correct.
  • Maintain accurate stock records within the company's system.
  • Liaise with internal departments (production, sales, logistics) to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Keep the warehouse organised, tidy, and compliant with health & safety standards.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or transport environment.
  • FLT licence (counterbalance or reach) refresher available
  • Experience using stock management systems.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of courier and freight processes.
  • Competent using basic IT systems (email, spreadsheets, stock software).
