The Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Director
to join our Accounting department. This senior role combines
strategic leadership, directorship responsibilities, and client advisory
. The role does
not include audit or assurance responsibilities
, focusing instead on accounting, business advisory, and supporting the growth of the Firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a
    director
    for the Firm and clients, providing leadership, strategic guidance, and oversight of accounting services.
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective business advisory.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for key clients.
  • Mentor, supervise, and develop junior staff to foster technical expertise and professional growth.
  • Contribute to the Firm's strategic planning, business development, governance, and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to UK GAAP, regulatory requirements, and Firm policies.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with
    minimum 7 years post-qualification experience
    in an accounting practice.
  • Holds a
    General Practising Certificate (GPC)
    .
  • Proven experience in client management, leadership, and team development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax, and business advisory.
  • Demonstrable ability to act in a
    directorial capacity
    , providing strategic guidance to clients.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining the Firm's professional and ethical standards.
  • Fee-following is helpful but not essential.
