Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our small dynamic and friendly team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. This position requires a strong commitment to patient welfare, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Private Practice, no NHS contract.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with practice protocols.
- Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas to adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimise clinic efficiency.
- Utilise IT systems for record keeping, appointment management, and communication within the practice.
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks as required, demonstrating strong organisational skills.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred, however we welcome applications from newly qualified nurses.
- A solid understanding of patient care principles and practices is crucial.
- Strong nursing background with relevant qualifications is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members alike.
