Role Summary

As a Videographer & Photographer Intern, you'll support the Academy Media Team in

producing and managing visual content across South Shields FC's academy programmes.

The role could include coverage across 
the Domestic Academy, International Academy,

Women's International Academy, and International High School
. You will be working

primarily at 
Downhill Football Hub in Sunderland
, while also contributing to content from

1st Cloud Arena
 and other locations.

You'll play an important role in documenting the journeys of players both locally and from

around the world, capturing matchdays, training sessions, and behind-the-scenes moments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce photo and video content across training sessions, matches (home and optionally away), and academy life
  • Capture player stories, team moments, and day-to-day activities across all academy programmes
  • Edit short-form and long-form video content for social media and YouTube
  • Organise and manage video and photo libraries
  • Collaborate with the media team to plan and deliver weekly content projects
  • Contribute creative ideas and assist with ongoing campaigns

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience producing photo and video content (filming, editing, and storytelling)
  • Proficient in 
    Premiere Pro
    , 
    Final Cut
    , or 
    CapCut
  • Understanding of social media video formats (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
  • Strong creative eye for composition and narrative
  • Passion for football and sports media
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently

Desirable Attributes

  • Access to your 
    own equipment (camera, lenses, etc.)
  • Awareness of brand consistency and social storytelling
  • Previous published or sports-related portfolio
  • Willingness to travel for key away fixtures or events
