Job Title: Adventure Sport Practical Instructor

Location: York

Contract Type: Part-time – 7.4 hours, Fixed Term until 26th June 2026

Salary: £24,483 - £26,520 per annum, pro rata

About Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Adventure Sport Practical Instructor Sport & Public Services team in York on a fixed term basis. This role will be working part-time, (8hrs per week). You will be working in a hard-working, enthusiastic and evolving department and have a great opportunity to be involved in and put your own stamp on future developments.

We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for the delivery of practical activities as part of our Adventure Sport curriculum. Sector experience and technical qualifications related to industry are essential.

The successful candidate will support with the delivery of a range of practical activities, receiving opportunities to develop their own teaching and learning. As well as the opportunity to access in house CPD.

With experience in Adventure Sport Instruction and a passion for what you do, you may not have experience in teaching, but must be willing to work in a dynamic and challenging environment that is exciting, engaging and rewarding. Above all, you will be ready to learn and keen to positively influence the future of our students.

Interviews: Wednesday 8th December 2025

Start Date: The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).
